Scopeout

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026
This is a starting template, not a substitute for a lawyer. It covers the standard points a small subscription tool needs, but you should have an actual attorney review it before treating it as your real, binding terms — especially once real payments are flowing through it.

1. What this is

Scopeout ("the Service") is a web tool that lets you upload a photo of a house and preview roofing, siding, and masonry material options on it, generate a before/after report, and estimate project costs. It is a sales and visualization aid — not an architectural, engineering, structural, or code-compliance tool, and nothing it produces should be treated as a professional estimate, survey, or guarantee of final project cost or appearance.

2. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Don't share your account with people outside your business without our knowledge.

3. Subscription, trial, and billing

4. Acceptable use

Use the Service for legitimate sales/estimating purposes for real projects. Don't: upload photos you don't have the right to use, attempt to break or reverse-engineer the detection/rendering pipeline, resell or white-label access without a separate agreement, or use the Service in a way that violates applicable law (including telemarketing/calling regulations in your own outreach — that's on you, not something this Service manages for you).

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and client information you upload. You grant us the limited right to store and process that content for the purpose of operating the Service for you (running detection, generating your reports, keeping your saved projects). We don't use your uploaded photos or client data to train models or for any purpose beyond providing the Service to your account.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is." Material previews, detected sections, and cost estimates are approximations generated automatically and may be inaccurate — always confirm real measurements, product availability, and pricing with your actual suppliers before quoting a customer a firm price.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on a generated cost estimate or material preview. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

8. Cancellation & termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, don't pay, or misuse the Service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers before they take effect.
