Privacy Policy

This is a starting template, not a substitute for a lawyer — have an attorney review it before relying on it, especially if you plan to serve customers in places with specific privacy law requirements (e.g. California's CCPA, the EU's GDPR).

1. What we collect

Account email and password	To log you in and identify your account
House photos you upload	To run material detection and generate your previews/reports — processed automatically, not reviewed by a person
Client name, address, phone, notes you enter	Saved with your projects so you can find them again — this is your data about your prospects, not ours
Payment details	Handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number

2. Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers to run Scopeout, and your data passes through them as part of normal operation:

Supabase — hosts our database and login system
Stripe — processes payment; we never receive your raw card details

We don't sell your data, and we don't share your uploaded photos or client information with anyone outside of running the Service for you.

3. How long we keep it

We keep your account data and saved projects for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and want your data deleted rather than retained, email us and we'll delete it, short of anything we're required to keep for billing/tax records.

4. Your rights

You can ask to see what we have on your account, correct it, or have it deleted, by emailing us. If you're in a region with specific statutory privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), those requests are handled under this same process.

5. Cookies & tracking

We use the minimum needed to keep you logged in and remember your session. We don't run ad-tracking pixels or sell browsing data to advertisers.

6. Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we'll notify active subscribers before the change takes effect.
